Job Summary We are seeking a Composite Technician to support the fabrication and assembly of prototype composite aircraft structures. This role combines composite layup work, tooling fabrication, hands-on shop tasks, and close collaboration with engineers. You will work both independently and as part of a small, highly technical team. Responsibilities

• Fabricate composite parts using wet layup and vacuum bagging processes.
• Build tooling, fixtures, jigs, and prototype structures from various materials.
• Interpret drawings, process instructions, and verbal engineering guidance.
• Operate common shop equipment and perform general machine/tool-shop tasks.
• Work at an individual station while coordinating with teammates as needed.
• Support low-rate production, prototyping, assembly, and R&D activities.
• Follow all company and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications Core Education & Eligibility High school diploma and valid driver's license Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (ITAR requirements) Technical Experience & Skills Experience with composite layup (wet layup, vacuum bagging) Pre‑preg composites experience preferred Experience in a machine/garage/tool shop or hands-on technical hobbies Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions Strong communication, problem-solving, and math skills Proficiency with MS Office Physical & Operational Capabilities Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8-10 hours). Regular bending, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive hand/arm motions. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs; occasional heavier lifts as needed. Good manual dexterity for precision layup, trimming, and inspection work. Comfortable wearing PPE (respirators, gloves, safety glasses). Work around chemicals, resins, dust, and elevated temperatures. Ability to climb ladders, use platforms, and work in tight spaces. Adequate vision and coordination for detailed inspection tasks. Preferred Qualifications Ability to read blueprints and/or detailed build instructions Experience in generating procedures and documentation Good understanding of composite material properties (carbon fiber, Kevlar, glass fibers) Schedule Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, overtime as needed.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
