Southwick, MA Salary Range:
\$26.10 To \$32.25Hourly Job Position Summary:
You are responsible to set up machines according to assigned job using hand tools such as wrenches, socket sets and coil handling materials.You must have:
- A high School Diploma or Equivalent. Tech School preferred.
- 5+ yrs Experience with CNC Machines
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Strong attention to details
- Organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Time Management Skills
- The ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheets.
- The ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators.
- The ability to set up CNC machines according to assigned job.
- The ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally. In your role, you will:
- Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
- Set up machines according to assigned job using hand tools such as wrenches, socket sets and coil handling materials.
- Follow procedures and information on routing sheet for each specific job.
- Assure material meets correct specifications of each job as stated on routing sheet.
- Read and follow blueprints to meet specifications.
- Inspect first pieces for quality assurance.
- Set machine monitoring system according to proper mode of job
- Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc. as required.
- Observe overall operations and perform regular daily maintenance on equipment and work area.
- Operate within
AS9100/ISO9001
requirements to include proper documentation- Maintain production completion logs and submits to management daily.
- Maintain a clean organized work area.
Physical Requirements:
- May have to lift up to thirty (40) pounds at a time, as required.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
Working Conditions:
- Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
- May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
