For over 40 years, Anchor has specialized in high precision plastics, design assist and manufacturing processes. We are currently looking for a mechanically inclined person to join our team. The role is responsible for Preventive Maintenance and repairs on Tooling and equipment. We can provide training. We are a small shop with with 6 presses.

Job duties include:

This is a hands-on shop role in an air-conditioned shop. You will clean injection molds, perform minor mold repairs, and maintain production equipment. This is not a machine operator seat and we are a real company not a recruiter. Clean injection molds, cavities, vents, and parting lines Perform minor mold repairs and small component replacement Inspect molds for wear, flash, water leaks, and damage Prepare clean, ready-to-run molds for production Perform equipment maintenance on presses and shop machinery Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment issues to reduce downtime Work with production to keep tools and machines running Follow safety, lockout/tagout, and quality procedures What we are looking for Experience with injection molds, tooling, plastics, or industrial maintenance preferred Comfortable with mold cleaning, inspection, and minor mechanical repair Able to perform equipment maintenance Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused Able to work independently on the shop floor Able to lift, stand, and work in a manufacturing environment Work with Production and Tooling during the manufacturing process, troubleshooting issues and providing guidance to improve performance and quality. Work with tooling department for tool changes and fixtures. Other duties as assigned or required. Knowledge of basic tooling and toolmaking principles including machinability, mechanics and GD&T. We can teach this if you dont know it. Must read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to lift 55lbs. repeatedly and Safely. Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics. Must understand and service pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience with 3D CAD a plus. Lean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred. Minnesota Candidates ONLY Must be able to pass a Drug test including THC substances and a background check.
