Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Technician to join our manufacturing team in Mansfield, Ohio. The Tool & Die Technician will be responsible for assembling projects from the CNC department using approved blueprints, ensuring parts meet specifications, and completing projects efficiently and accurately. The ideal Tool & Die Technician will have strong blueprint-reading skills, attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance on operational and technical challenges. Responsibilities Assemble projects from the CNC department according to approved blueprints. Retrieve raw materials according to blueprints for designated parts. Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications before machining or assembling tools. Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of parts to ensure they meet specifications. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators. Determine the appropriate tools necessary to complete jobs according to customer specifications. Operate a front-load forklift safely while following all applicable safety guidelines. Operate an overhead crane while maintaining required safety procedures. Maintain efficiency and effective time management for each assigned project. Work independently with minimal supervision when addressing operational and technical challenges. Maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail for extended periods. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks as needed to support machine longevity. Follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3 years of tool and die machining experience preferred. Front-load forklift experience. Basic math skills required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Physical Requirements The Tool & Die Technician must be able to: Stand for extended periods on a concrete manufacturing floor. Sit, walk, push, pull, bend, crouch, crawl, kneel, and maintain balance as needed. Safely go up and down stairs. Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Work around forklifts, machining equipment, and potentially loud noises. Meet close, distance, and color vision requirements and adjust focus as necessary. Wear all required PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses. Schedule & Work Environment This is a 1st shift, hourly position located in Mansfield, Ohio . The position requires working in a manufacturing environment and following all established safety procedures.
