Job Title:
Tool and Die Maker Job Description Build and maintain dies and fixtures using the latest state-of-the-art technology to meet customer specifications and ensure satisfaction. Produce a final product that meets high-quality standards with some of the smallest tolerances in the industry. Responsibilities Ensure accuracy and quality on all jobs. Possess a working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.). Operate and understand the use of hand tools, grinding machinery, milling machinery, drill presses, lathe, band saw, heat treating ovens, optical comparator, various measuring devices, die hoists. Build, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and debug progressive dies and new tooling. Perform mathematic and geometric functions and possess mechanical aptitude. Read blueprints. Assist in press setup as required. Operate computer die maintenance program and other required computer processes. Knowledge of CNC and wire EDM processes. Cooperate with other employees to satisfy job requirements. Possess tools of the trade. Follow all safety procedures and regulations. Maintain a tidy and clean workstation. Complete data entry activities in a timely and accurate manner. Essential Skills Good communication skills and team skills required to complete projects on time. Ability to analyze blueprints, determine materials, machines, and components required to make, modify, or repair tools and dies. Understand the operation of computer and tool room equipment. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Attention to accuracy, details, and due dates. Additional Skills & Qualifications Journeyman Certificate with 4 years of apprenticeship and two years of experience. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Why Work Here? Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 100 to 2500 lbs. using die carts. Protective shoes, safety glasses, shop coat, and ear protection are required while working around loud noises. Work hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with an option to work from 6 am to 2:30 pm if needed. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lake Geneva, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $104000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
