We're looking for a Tool Maker who enjoys hands-on problem solving, precision machining, and creating tooling solutions that support a busy manufacturing environment. What You'll Do As a Tool Maker, you'll play a key role in supporting production through the design, building, maintenance, and improvement of tooling and fixtures.

Responsibilities include:

Manufacture and assemble fixtures and tooling components Maintain and repair production fixtures and tooling Sharpen and maintain cutting tools Perform rework on non-conforming parts as needed Build prototype components and tooling Perform manual machining operations Set up and operate CNC mills Troubleshoot tooling and fixture issues to improve production efficiency Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams Submit fixtures, tooling, and parts for inspection and verification Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and special projects What We're Looking For Minimum of 2 years of toolmaking experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Two-year technical degree in Tool & Die, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred or equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and part specifications Knowledge of machining processes and shop mathematics Experience with CNC setup and operation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Why Join G & V Machine Company?
