U Wastewater Operator I Hot Job Clayton, DE 19938 Apply Overview Level Experienced Job Shift Any Apply Description Hanover Foods Corporation Clayton Plant is currently seeking an experienced Wastewater Operator with a current Level I, II, III or IV License.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties listed below are representative of the types of responsibilities required for the role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the organization: Monitors water, wastewater, and stormwater systems to ensure proper function and regulatory compliance. Identifies and performs corrective actions when operational issues arise. Records and calculates daily flow meter readings to track system performance. Collects and analyzes water, wastewater, and stormwater samples in accordance with established procedures. Conducts sampling from monitoring wells, house water, wastewater, and stormwater sources. Maintains and calibrates equipment used for testing and sampling to ensure accuracy and reliability. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment to minimize downtime. Reports equipment malfunctions promptly to the Lead Wastewater Operator. Assists in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues. Adheres to all company, federal, state, and local policies and procedures. Follows established safety protocols, including the proper use of protective clothing and equipment. Supports environmental stewardship by ensuring compliance with NPDES stormwater permit requirements. Collaborates with the Lead Wastewater Operator and management on operational improvements. Performs other duties as assigned to support plant operations and organizational goals. Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

High School Diploma or GED required. Basic knowledge of water, wastewater, and NPDES stormwater operations, with ability to learn and apply procedures. Valid Level 1 Wastewater Operator License in the State of Delaware required. Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain testing equipment. Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and compliance with regulations. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver's license preferred.
