Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator and play a vital role in maintaining the health and safety of our community through efficient wastewater management. In this energetic position, you will operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment systems to ensure environmental compliance and optimal plant performance. Your expertise will help safeguard water quality, support sustainable practices, and uphold regulatory standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced control systems, and a dedicated team committed to environmental excellence. Duties Operate control systems to regulate treatment processes and equipment functions. Monitor plant instrumentation, data collection systems, and treatment quality parameters to ensure proper system operation. Perform routine equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on pumps, motors, valves, and industrial machinery. Maintain wastewater treatment processes by adjusting chemical feeds, aeration levels, and sludge handling procedures. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by documenting operational data and preparing reports for regulatory agencies. Support construction projects or upgrades by assisting with plumbing tasks, mechanical repairs, and system installations as needed. Respond to emergency calls and provide repairs to the low-pressure wastewater collection system including lift stations and individual grinder pumps. Respond to wastewater system utility locates. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and industrial pump maintenance. Knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and wastewater collection system management. Ability to perform basic math calculations for chemical dosing, flow measurements, and data analysis. Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting system issues and optimizing plant performance. Experience working in the energy & utilities sector or similar industrial environments is highly desirable. Construction experience or familiarity with plumbing techniques can be an asset for maintenance tasks. Join us in making a difference through dedicated environmental stewardship! Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
