$53.29 Headquartered in both Kansas City and Topeka, Evergy employs about 4,900 people who are dedicated to empowering a better future. We are recruiting candidates for an Attendant Process at our LaCygne Generating Station. Please find below a list of the minimum requirements for the position. It is important the candidates address their qualifications in the documentation submitted for consideration.
Job Duties :
  • Conducts water analyses and operational checks and adjustments associated with water treatment processes, including samples to be forwarded to other laboratories.
  • Conducts operational checks and inspections on water treatment and pollution control equipment and makes necessary adjustments. Assists others in collection of test data requiring laboratory techniques.
  • Prepares various reports as required.
  • Services, maintains and cleans equipment related to the station laboratory and chemistry related processes.
  • Utilizes hand and power tools as necessary to accomplish tasks. Assists operations and maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Utilizes and maintains any equipment needed to perform job.
  • Performs similar and related work and less skilled work as assigned.
Experience :
Three years of industrial experience related to water treatment and purification preferred
General :
Must be licensed to drive as required by state law

Education :
High School or equivalent plus minimum five hours Organic Chemistry with a passing grade of C or above Bachelor of Science in Chemistry preferred Evergy has a clear mission
