Job Description
The Town of Aberdeen is recruiting for a full-time position to perform responsible technical tasks in the operation and maintenance of the Town's well-water system and related equipment. Position collects water samples and performs chemical checks at wells on a routine basis to ensure compliance monitoring and performs maintenance on equipment as needed. Position also requires the ability to read water meters, perform service connections and disconnections, rotate weekend duty and assist with on call duty as needed. This full-time position also will be cross trained to assist with the Water and Sewer Department's daily operations should the need for additional help arise. Applicants must possess a valid N.C. Driver's License, High School diploma or GED, and ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License within 6 months of employment. Preference will be given to those candidates that already have a Class C Well Certification, but at a minimum the Class C Well Certification will be required within 12 months of hire.
