Job Description

We're hiring a Water Treatment Operator-in-Training II to support daily operations and maintenance at a water treatment facility. This role is ideal for someone with foundational water treatment experience looking to grow their skills.
Pay:
$21.70 per hour Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GEDValid driver's licenseWater Level I Certification Minimum of one year of water treatment experience
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and operational tasks at a water treatment plant on an assigned shiftOperate treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water, sludge, and effluent under supervisionMonitor gauges, meters, and control panels; observe and report abnormalitiesOperate valves, gates, pumps, engines, and generators to adjust treatment flow under directionMaintain shift logs and record meter/gauge readingsTake samples and perform process control lab tests and analysesPerform routine maintenance and custodial dutiesBe fit and able to work overtime as neededFollow written and oral instructions and safety proceduresPerform other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of engine, pump, and equipment operation and maintenance principlesFamiliarity with general maintenance work and safe work practicesBasic understanding of biological and chemical principles #WaterTreatment #OperatorInTraining #UtilitiesJobs #WaterOperator #NowHiring
