Job Description
Water-Wastewater Operator Job Posting The Village of Bloomfield Utility is accepting applications for the position of Water-Wastewater Operator. The Water-Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for process control, including troubleshooting, monitoring and operation of the water and wastewater treatment plant. This position works 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday with rotating on-call weekends and holidays. This work involves a variety of light maintenance duties. Operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water/wastewater, sludge, and effluent Diagnoses operating problems and performs necessary corrective action during work shift Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties Mechanical ability: Demonstrates aptitude and competence in a broad range of trade skills through the use of hand tools, power tools, and the operation of equipment.
