Santa Fe Springs, California Job type: Full-time Position Summary United Surface Solutions is hiring a TIG Welder/Fabricator to build stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel components used in industrial machinery. This position is well suited to someone with professional TIG welding and fabrication experience who is comfortable working from drawings. The work includes reviewing dimensions, fitting components, planning the welding sequence, and completing fabricated assemblies with attention to weld quality and dimensional accuracy. Our welders fabricate machine frames, tanks, brackets, and other components for the industrial equipment we manufacture. Responsibilities TIG weld stainless steel and mild steel components Fabricate machine frames, tanks, brackets, and equipment assemblies Read and work from fabrication drawings and dimensions Measure, fit, clamp, and tack components before final welding Plan welding sequences to help control heat, warping, and distortion Check fit-up, squareness, alignment, and dimensions during fabrication Inspect completed work for weld quality and dimensional accuracy Grind, blend, and finish welds when required Use saws, grinders, drills, clamps, and common fabrication tools Communicate drawing, material, or fit-up questions before proceeding Coordinate with machinists, assemblers, and the production team Maintain an organized and safe work area Qualifications Professional TIG welding and metal fabrication experience Experience TIG welding stainless steel Ability to read fabrication drawings and work from specified dimensions Ability to lay out, fit, tack, and weld fabricated assemblies Understanding of heat control and distortion prevention Ability to check the dimensions, alignment, and squareness of completed work Ability to use a tape measure, square, calipers, and basic inspection tools Reliable attendance and availability for the posted schedule Helpful Experience Fabricating industrial machinery or manufacturing equipment Welding tanks, machine frames, tubing, sheet metal, or similar assemblies TIG welding both stainless steel and mild steel MIG welding Grinding and finishing stainless steel welds Working in a custom-equipment manufacturing environment Compensation The pay range is $32-$36 per hour. Starting pay will be based on relevant TIG welding, drawing-reading, fit-up, and fabrication experience. Qualified candidates will be invited to complete a short welding and fabrication test based on the type of work performed in this position.
