We're looking for someone dependable, professional, and committed to producing quality work they're proud to stand behind. Work includes shop fabrication and mobile welding repairs throughout Southwest Florida, using aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel. Projects vary and require strong fabrication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems independently. Responsibilities Fabricate custom metal components and assemblies from drawings, sketches, and measurements. Measure, lay out, cut, prepare, fit, and assemble aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel. Perform welding and repairs in both shop and field settings. Complete fabrication projects from initial layout through final welding and finishing. Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy. Communicate clearly about job progress, material needs, and unexpected issues. Maintain a safe, organized work area and take care of tools and equipment. Arrive on time for agreed commitments and conduct yourself professionally with customers. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of welding and fabrication experience . Must pass a practical weld test covering aluminum MIG, aluminum TIG, stainless steel TIG, and Stick welding . Must demonstrate fabrication skills, including measuring, layout, material preparation, and fit-up. Ability to complete quality work with minimal supervision. Reliable transportation to the shop and assigned job sites. Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and pride in workmanship. Willingness to take responsibility for the quality of your work. Contract Work & Compensation This opportunity is for contract work, with assignments varying based on project needs. Work may be performed in the shop or in the field. Compensation will vary by contract or job, depending on the scope, required skills, and work location. Pay terms will be discussed and agreed upon before each assignment begins.
