1st & 2ndShift Available Starting Pay:
$24.00/hour + $3.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift (higher based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking experienced Structural Steel Welders / Fitters for a shop-based fabrication position. Candidates with strong welding, fitting, or combined fabrication experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications Measure, lay out, cut, fit, align, and assemble structural steel components Perform structural steel welding according to specifications and applicable standards Set up and operate fabrication machinery, equipment, and hand tools Use oxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters, drill presses, angle presses, jigs, tape measures, and squares Set up and operate a track torch as required Check materials and completed assemblies for quality, dimensions, and accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work with supervisors and other shop personnel to meet production schedules and deadlines Qualifications Previous experience in structural steel welding, fitting, or fabrication Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings Experience measuring, fitting, aligning, and assembling structural steel Working knowledge of welding methods, fabrication equipment, and shop tools Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, quality work Commitment to safe work practices Ability to work effectively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Flux Core welding Ability to successfully complete a Flux Core welding test Experience setting up and operating a track torch AWS or other welding certifications are a plus We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
