Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for precisely welding various metal components, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, from manufacturing assemblies to on-site construction applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of materials, tools, and techniques, all while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on a wide range of metals, including sheet metal and structural components, following detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to prepare materials for welding and verify dimensions. Set up welding equipment according to project specifications and safety standards; adjust settings as needed during operations. Conduct fabrication tasks such as cutting with plasma cutters, pressing with press brake machines, and pipe threading for various projects. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations and ASME codes & standards; perform routine equipment inspections. Collaborate with team members on assembly, rigging, mechanical installation, ductwork fabrication, and other related tasks on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Experience Proven experience in MIG welding within construction sites or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with TIG welding techniques is a plus for specialized applications. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is essential for precise work execution. Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication tools. Ability to work safely at heights using rigging techniques and operate forklifts or other material handling equipment when necessary. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, soldering, machining processes, and ductwork assembly is advantageous.
