Job Description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a MIG Welder in McDonough, GA. In this skilled role, you will be responsible for performing MIG welding on metal components, reading blueprints, assembling parts, and producing high-quality welds while maintaining safety and production standards. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below. In a MIG Welder job, you'll be responsible for:
  • Performing MIG welding on steel and other metal components according to specifications.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work orders to complete projects accurately.
  • Preparing materials by measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting metal parts prior to welding.
  • Inspecting completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with company standards.
  • Operating welding equipment and hand tools safely while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Following all safety procedures and contributing to production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What you'll need:
  • Previous MIG welding experience required.
  • Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Welding certification is a plus but not required.
