00 per hour | Weekly Pay We are hiring Fabrication Welder I candidates to join a growing manufacturing team in Carol Stream. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with MIG welding and/or metal fabrication experience who wants to build their skills and grow within a company. This is a performance-to-hire position. Available Shifts 1st
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM 2nd
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 3:45 PM-12:15 AM Overtime is available, and paid breaks are provided. Job Responsibilities MIG weld and fabricate machine frames and components Work with sheet metal, tubing, flat bar and I-beam Fabricate components such as industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, doors, brackets and catwalks Grind and finish completed products Perform quality checks on finished components Install fabricated components into machine structures Assist with disassembling machinery for painting and shipping Handle materials using sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes Qualifications MIG welding and/or fabrication experience Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/32" Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints or willingness to learn Experience with saws, shears or drill presses is a plus Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Apply today for an opportunity to put your welding and fabrication skills to work!
