Job Description

WELDER / FABRICATOR
Whallon Machinery Inc. is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team. We build custom industrial machinery for manufacturers throughout the United States and around the world. Our welders play an important role in turning our engineering drawings into the equipment our customers depend on. If you enjoy welding, fabrication, and building things that are different from one project to the next , we'd like to talk with you. What You'll Do
  • Perform MIG, Stick, and TIG welding
  • Weld and fabricate structural steel, stainless steel, and other metals
  • Fabricate machine frames, platforms, guards, brackets, and other components
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and welding symbols
  • Measure, fit, tack, and weld components to drawing specifications
  • Set up and operate welding equipment and cutting tools
  • Use grinders, saws, drills, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment
  • Perform layout and fitting of fabricated components
  • Inspect your own work to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Work with machinists, mechanics, engineers, and other members of the production team
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous welding and fabrication experience
  • Experience with MIG, Stick, and TIG welding
  • Ability to weld various thicknesses and types of material
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
  • Good measuring and layout skills
  • Experience using common fabrication tools and equipment
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A good work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Welding certification is a plus but is not required.
We are also willing to consider someone with strong welding skills who wants to expand their fabrication and machine-building experience. Work Schedule Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM No rotating shifts. No overnight shifts. Pay $18-$28 per hour , depending on welding experience, fabrication skills, and qualifications. Benefits
