Job Description

  • Job Title: Welder - 2nd Shift $25-29/hour based on expeirence
  • Shift: Monday-Thursday 2:30PM-12:30AM (occasional OT on Fridays)
  • Job Description
  • This 2nd shift welder position in a machine shop focuses on MIG welding and fabrication work, ranging from routine tasks to intricate projects. You work from blueprints and work orders, contribute to general labor activities, and support team members with materials and parts handling, all while maintaining a high level of detail and quality.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform MIG welding on a variety of parts and assemblies in a machine shop environment.

+ Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine job requirements, specifications, and sequence of operations.

+ Set up work, including preparing materials, equipment, and work area for welding and fabrication tasks.

+ Complete routine and complex welding and fabrication projects with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Proficient MIG welding skills in a production or machine shop environment. + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret part drawings, blueprints, and work orders. + Strong fabrication skills with attention to detail on both routine and intricate projects.

  • Work Environment
  • This role is based in a machine shop setting on 2nd shift, with frequent exposure to extreme cold and heat, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration.

The noise level is moderate to high, and you work closely with team members in a respectful, collaborative atmosphere. The schedule requires flexibility, with overtime and weekend work as needed. You wear required PPE appropriate to the tasks being performed to ensure safety throughout the shift.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $20.

00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
