Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pipe Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating pipe systems and metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will ensure the integrity and quality of piping installations across various construction and manufacturing projects. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures. Perform pipe welding using various techniques including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, ensuring compliance with American Welding Society (AWS) standards. Prepare materials by measuring, marking, cutting, and fitting metal components using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Execute pipe threading, fitting, and assembly with precision using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accurate measurements. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to strict safety protocols, including rigging procedures and proper handling of metal materials. Inspect completed welds for quality using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments; perform necessary repairs or rework as needed. Collaborate with team members on fabrication shop projects involving ductwork, sheet metal fabrication, mechanical fabrication, and metal materials. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport materials within the shop or construction site. Follow schematics and technical drawings accurately while interpreting mechanical blueprints for fabrication or installation tasks. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety protocol adherence. Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including

SMAW, GMAW/MIG, TIG

welding, FCAW, and Soldering. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints confidently. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise measurements. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, rigging, machining processes, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and schematic interpretation. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and metal materials in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment. Familiarity with power tools such as grinders, drills, saws; hand tools; gas torches; plasma cutters; press brake machines; forklift operation; machining equipment; welding helmets; gas welding equipment; soldering tools; schematics reading; pipe threading tools; ductwork fabrication tools.
