Fleet / Equipment Maintenance Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and experienced Full-Time Welder to join our waste and recycling operations team. This position is responsible for welding, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining dumpsters, roll-off containers, and other equipment used throughout our operations. The ideal candidate is a skilled, hands-on welder who takes pride in producing safe, durable repairs and keeping equipment in excellent working condition. This is a year-round, full-time position offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities Perform welding and fabrication repairs on roll-off dumpsters, containers, compactors, and related waste equipment. Repair damaged floors, walls, doors, hinges, latches, rails, rollers, and structural components. Cut, fit, weld, reinforce, and replace steel components as necessary. Inspect dumpsters and equipment to identify damage, excessive wear, and potential safety issues. Perform preventative repairs to extend the service life of containers and equipment. Use MIG, stick, and other appropriate welding processes. Safely operate grinders, torches, plasma cutters, saws, and other fabrication equipment. Fabricate brackets, plates, supports, and replacement components when needed. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and the work area in clean and safe condition. Follow all company safety procedures and proper PPE requirements. Coordinate with fleet and operations personnel to prioritize equipment repairs. Maintain a high standard of workmanship while completing repairs efficiently. Assist with other welding, fabrication, and equipment maintenance projects as needed. Qualifications Previous professional welding and fabrication experience preferred. Experience working with heavy steel, dumpsters, trailers, heavy equipment, or similar industrial equipment is strongly preferred. Proficiency with MIG and/or stick welding. Ability to cut, measure, fit, fabricate, and weld steel components. Ability to identify structural damage and determine appropriate repair methods. Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely lift and handle materials associated with welding and fabrication work. Must be dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work independently. Valid driver's license preferred.
