Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, ensuring they meet strict safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced fabrication techniques and tools to bring designs to life. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce components. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes. Measure and mark materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and fits. Maintain safety protocols at all times while working on construction sites or in the fabrication shop environment; adhere strictly to safety guidelines. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or welding processes; perform quality inspections using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications. Skills Proficiency in multiple welding techniques Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately; interpret mechanical blueprints confidently. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise measurements. Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, ductwork installation, machining, soldering, plasma cutting, and press brake operation. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and welding practices. Experience working with various metal materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and sheet metal components. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Strong understanding of safety protocols in both shop environments and construction sites; committed to maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
