Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aluminum Welder / Fabricator to join our production team. In this role, you will read blueprints, cut raw materials, and utilize TIG and MIG welding techniques to build high-quality aluminum products. The ideal candidate has strong mathematical skills, a deep understanding of aluminum metallurgy, and a passion for precision craftsmanship. Responsibilities
- Weld aluminum assemblies using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) processes.
- Fabricate components by cutting, burning, and shaping aluminum pieces.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
- Fit and clamp components together to prepare for welding.
- Inspect finished welds for cracks, defects, or spatial deviations.
- Operate shop equipment safely, including brake presses, shears, and band saws.
- Maintain equipment and report any mechanical malfunctions immediately. Requirements Required Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of dedicated aluminum welding experience.
Technical Skills:
Mastery of TIG and MIG welding on varying aluminum gauges.
Blueprints:
Proven ability to read and work from complex technical drawings.
Tools:
Proficiency with grinders, calipers, squares, and fabrication machinery.
Physical:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications
Certification:
AWS (American Welding Society) certification is highly desirable.
Education:
