Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to technical specifications and blueprints. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and parts, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency throughout the fabrication process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of materials and advanced welding techniques in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project specifications. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal materials. Fabricate sheet metal components and structures by cutting, bending, welding, and assembling parts based on technical specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical documents accurately to guide fabrication processes. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols related to rigging, pipe threading, manufacturing processes, and material handling. Collaborate with team members on projects involving assembly, pipe fitting, rigging, and metal fabrication tasks to meet project deadlines. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops involving metal fabrication and welding projects. Hands-on knowledge of crane operation, rigging techniques, pipe threading, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly processes. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Familiarity with interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings for accurate manufacturing. Experience working with various metals including sheet metal materials in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations, power tools usage, rigging procedures, and material handling standards. Ability to work with diverse welding techniques including MIG welding (GMAW), TIG welding (GTAW), FCAW welding, and SMAW welding following AWS standards.
