Job Description

Qualifications:
Active Michigan School Social Worker licensure required; candidates with a Limited License (LLMSW) are welcome to apply Strong understanding of school-based support systems and special education services Ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring intervention plans Demonstrated commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards Solid organizational and time-management skills to balance caseloads and documentation
Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based social work services to students individually, in groups, and through classroom-wide initiatives Evaluate students social, emotional, and behavioral needs through assessments and consultations Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create strategies enhancing students participation and success in school Facilitate crisis intervention and provide counseling support as needed Participate in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and special education teams, contributing expertise for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans Engage families through communication and resources, empowering them to support their childrens education Maintain accurate records and ensure all services comply with legal, ethical, and district guidelines This contract position offers the chance to impact lives while working within a supportive, mission-driven community.
