NOW HIRING
We are looking for a Welder 2 (more MIG experience) to join our Winsted team. A Welder is responsible for performing MIG welding, layout, tacking, fabrication and building functions in the manufacture of various products in accordance with product specifications. Successful completion of internal welding test is mandatory. Millerbernd Manufacturing Company is an AWS (American Welding Society) Sustaining Company Member.Job Title:

Shift Schedule :
1st shift: Monday- Thursday 5am
- 3pm OR 2nd shift: Monday
- Thursday 3pm
- 1am OR Weekend shift: Friday
- Sunday 5am
- 5pm
Shift Differential :
1st shift- N/A, 2nd shift
- $1.50/hour, Weekend shift
- $2.50/hour As a Welder 2 , you will: Perform the following GMAW welds
- butt
- V•single bevel and fillet welds on carbon steel Produce welds that pass visual inspection Can perform necessary repairs that pass adhere to MMC Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and CWI inspection requirements Demonstrates the ability to weld the above weld joints with either .
- select appropriate wire and shielding gas and weld within WPS weld parameters Proficient in print reading and understands weld symbols and welding gauges Use grinder or other appropriate tools to clean, smooth out, grind or finish parts as needed Monitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequence Accurately label all parts for routing to next operation Enter job data in production tracking system Use crane, hoist, forklift or other material handling equipment to transport materials and product into and out of the work area as required Must be
AWS GMAW
certified- Welders employed with Millerbernd will have the opportunity to complete all weld certification requirements including AWS certifications within 14 days of employment Perform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements Perform MIG welding tasks to Welding Procedures Specifications (WPS) and CWI inspection requirements Layout and tack to specifications Use various machines to fabricate, build, and design products Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes Can perform necessary repairs that pass adhere to Millerbernd s Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and CWI inspection requirements Can perform welds using following wire•solid•flux core and metal core as needed Can weld carbon, stainless steel as needed Perform carbon arc gouging and recognize when any and all defects have been removed Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required Role Qualifications as a Welder 2 : Successful completion of internal welding test is mandatory Preferred candidates will have 3 years experience in metal fabrication/welding experience MIG Welding experience is required Other combinations of formal training and experience will be considered Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and weld symbols Ability to operate hoists, cranes, and other powered industrial vehicles as needed Ability to operate various power and hand tools Knowledge of weld positioners, turners, fixtures and equipment Ability to perform basic shop math functions Ability to electronically record production information Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork in English Ability to work with others as part of a high-performance team Ability to adapt to changing work priorities Able to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or procedures Accurately use tape measure and precision measuring instruments Operational knowledge of Electric Plasma and Acetylene Torch Proficient in welding techniques on flat, vertical and rotating planes Proficient in welding techniques on flat, vertical and rotating planes Operational knowledge of Electric Plasma and Acetylene Torch Able to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or procedures Physical Demands (Production Roles): This position requires the individual to wear and work in company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
