Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards while producing high-quality welds on various materials. Duties Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on different materials including sheet metal and piping. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components as per design requirements. Conduct quality inspections of welds using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards. Assemble and fit parts together using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills for accurate measurements. Operate forklifts and cranes safely for material handling during the welding process. Execute rigging tasks as necessary for lifting heavy components or assemblies. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on welding and fabrication. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, Stick welding, and plasma cutting techniques. Familiarity with ductwork installation and pipe threading processes. Ability to operate press brake machines and perform machining tasks as required. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly processes. Competence in using hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks. Excellent blueprint reading skills combined with an understanding of schematics for accurate project execution. Basic math skills essential for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
