Job Description

KP Staffing Hickory is now hiring welders for a leading manufacturer that specializes in material handling and wire decking products! Job Summary The Welder is responsible for setting up welding fixtures, positioning and securing components, and performing MIG welding on a variety of parts and assemblies. Pay $20 - $22 per hour Shift 1st
Shift:
5:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Thursday with mandatory OT on Fridays and Saturdays 2nd
Shift:
Monday thru Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am with mandatory OT on Fridays and Saturdays. Duties Set up welding fixtures and accurately position components according to specifications, using charts, sketches, and measuring tools. Secure posts, braces, connectors, foot plates, and other components using clamps and appropriate fixtures. Perform MIG and tack welding on various parts and assemblies, including weld touch-ups as needed. Adjust wire feed, heat, and gas flow to maintain proper weld quality. Use a gas torch for cutting notches and heating parts for bending when required. Retrieve and handle materials from storage areas and rolling mills using appropriate equipment. Load and install welding wire and maintain welding equipment. Inspect materials and equipment, report defects or malfunctions, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Follow all safety rules, procedures, and established work practices. Qualifications Mig welding experience, formal Mig welding training or able to complete and pass a welding test.
