Schedule:

1st Shift Monday - Thursday 4:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Pay:

$22.00 per hour with the potential to earn up to $28.00 per hour upon successful completion of the

API 1104

certification test

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder I to support one of our valued clients, an industry leader in electrical and electronic solutions serving residential, commercial, industrial, and utility markets. What Youll Do

As a Welder I, youll play a critical role in ensuring quality products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Set up and operate welding equipment and fixtures safely and efficiently

Adjust welding machines to achieve optimal weld quality and production standards

Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production specifications

Maintain welding equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance

Keep workstations and production areas organized, clean, and operational

Assist with steel assembly and support CNC operations when needed

Request necessary materials and supplies for welding operations

Follow instructions from team leads and supervisors to meet production goals

Support quality management initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Mentor and assist less experienced welders as needed

Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Work overtime, including weekends, when business demands require it

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred

Minimum of one (1) year of welding experience or at least six (6) months of experience

Basic knowledge of welding processes and welding equipment

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Experience using precision measuring instruments

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing or production environments

Exposure to steel assembly operations

CNC operations experience

Demonstrated readiness to pursue and pass the

API 1104

certification test

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position is performed in a manufacturing setting and requires:

Standing for extended periods, including up to two hours at a single station

Working while wearing welding hoods, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective equipment

Frequent use of hands and arms to reach, grasp, and manipulate materials

Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching

Working in temperatures that may reach up to 100°F

Working in an environment where conditions may reflect outdoor temperatures and seasonal changes

Safety shoes and safety glasses are required at the time of interview.

A welding test is required as part of the hiring process.
