Advanced Tower Components is a steel manufacturer specializing in custom metal fabrications, wireless infrastructure products, and commercial structural steel. Our customers include local general contractors, installers, wireless carriers, and tower owners. Advanced Tower Components is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Fitter Welder position in its Salem, OR location. We are looking for an experienced individual with a thorough knowledge of welding procedures and practices essential to producing a high quality product. An individual that takes pride in their work, a team player who works well with others, and an individual who can also work alone with little to no supervision.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Read and interpret shop drawings Layout, Align, Fit, and Weld steel components, and other structural steel members Weld components together by means of FCAW per

Perform welding operations with a limited amount of planning and preparation Pre-Assemble custom jobs per plan and determine whether job specifications have been met or if additional work is required to meet company standards Safely and efficiently operate an acetylene cutting torch, and common power tools Safely efficiently operate various types forklifts to move materials Perform basic job duties as directed by supervision Actively participate and demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to ATC safety policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of a weld test Successful completion of a fit test Working knowledge of welding setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.) Knowledge of welding properties of a variety of metals The ability to read and interpret shop drawings The ability to set up work and determine operation sequence The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers and supervisors The ability to use basic hand tools and power tools The ability to perform basic math, read a tape measure and calipers At the end of 90 calendar days, the candidate must have shown the ability to maintain an acceptable level of production, quality, and attendance. Highly qualified candidates will also possess: Graduation from an accredited trade school for welding or equivelant 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment 3+ years of experience welding in a professional environment The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment Extremely familiar with OSHA safety requirements and practices Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
