Job Description
Monday-Thursday 5:30 am- 4:00 pm
Basic Qualifications Education/Training:
High school diploma or equivalent; must pass welding procedures test. Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; strong mig welding and fabrication skills; ability to read blueprints; proficient mechanical skills, proficient PC skills, including Internet; and visual and auditory skills.Working Conditions:
Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 40 lbs. or less; excessive noise environment; operate heavy machinery, power tools, or equipment; and work at elevated heights or in confined spaces.Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in related positions normally required. General Responsibilities The Welder executes MIG welding process to fabricate, fit, and secure components according to blueprints. This position supports manufacturing and machine functions by dismantling, reshaping, and reassembling damaged parts using standard cutting and grinding equipment. This position is classified as safety sensitive. Successful candidates must comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the company's drug- and alcohol-free workplace requirements. Individuals in this role are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing, consistent with applicable law and company policy. Violations of these policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Essential Duties 1. Performs a variety of duties to support the machine/repair function as follows: a. Use MIG welding process. b. Layout, position, align, and fit components together. c. Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding. d. Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. Repair can include cutting, grinding, carbon arc, or oxy-acetylene torch. e. Read blueprints or follow verbal instructions for repairs and fabrication. 2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information. 3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace. 4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company's compliance with all regulatory requirements. 5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel. 6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.Pay:
