Job Title:
Pipe Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to oversee welding, pipe fitting, and material handling tasks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding techniques, pipe fitting, and material handling, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Conduct welding tests on 3" sch. 10 Stainless Steel and pass a 2" carbon monster coupon in the 6G position. Perform GTAW (TIG) welding and additional testing in GMAW and FCAW on 6" carbon pipe in the 6G position. Read and interpret welding symbols and WPS documents accurately. Weld carbon steel and stainless steel with precision. Demonstrate proven experience in fitting carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping. Assist with pipe grinding, cutting, beveling, shipping, loading/unloading, and material handling using stand jacks, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts. Pass a 2" monster coupon test in the 6G position and perform root and fill to flush welding. Assist fitters with pipe and fitting preparation. Essential Skills Proficiency in GTAW (TIG), GMAW, and FCAW welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and WPS documents. Experience with welding carbon steel and stainless steel. Proven experience in fitting various types of piping including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy. Capability to operate stand jacks, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts for material handling. Additional Skills & Qualifications Construction, installation, and fabrication experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Duncan, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
