Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fabricator / Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in interpreting technical drawings, using various hand and power tools, and working with different welding techniques will be essential to delivering high-quality products. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine specifications and dimensions. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal materials such as sheet metal and structural components using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math. Perform welding operations including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and stick welding according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to accurately fabricate parts and assemblies. Use hand tools and fabrication equipment to assemble components securely while maintaining quality control standards. Ensure all work complies with safety protocols by adhering to safety procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and maintaining a clean work environment. Collaborate with team members on complex fabrication projects involving mechanical assembly and metal fabrication processes. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites or in a fabrication shop environment with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication principles. Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to welding, machining, and metal fabrication processes. Experience working with sheet metal materials and performing sheet metal fabrication tasks. Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment effectively. Basic math skills necessary for shop calculations involving measurements and fabrication tolerances. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in assembly and fabrication tasks. $20.00 - $30.77 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
