Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling structural components using various welding techniques and fabrication tools. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality metal structures that meet strict safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and precision skills to bring complex designs to life. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications and welding requirements. Perform welding operations including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) adhering to AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, bending, and assembling sheet metal and structural steel using plasma cutters, press brake machines, power tools, and hand tools. Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accurate fabrication within specified tolerances. Use rigging techniques for lifting and positioning heavy steel structures safely on construction sites or within fabrication shops. Operate machinery such as machining tools, plasma cutters, press brakes, and pipe threading equipment with strict adherence to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while complying with all safety regulations related to construction site experience, welding hazards, and equipment handling. Follow verbal and written instructions Work independently with minimal oversight Meticulous in safety and workmanship Work well and collaborate with team members when working in a group Skills Extensive experience in construction site environments with a solid understanding of safety protocols.
