Company Overview this is a Traveling position. Mountain West Industrial (MWI) is a full-service industrial construction company with projects spanning coast to coast. We specialize in providing qualified journeymen who prioritize safety while delivering high-quality solutions across various sectors including power generation, refining, mining, and more. Looking for Structural welders that can pass 3G & 4G FCAW - weld test. Summary We are seeking a skilled Traveling Structural Welder to join our team at Mountain West Industrial. In this role, you will be instrumental in assembling and fabricating structural components for our diverse projects. Your expertise will directly contribute to our commitment to safety and excellence in the industrial construction sector. all traveling jobs come with daily per diem ranging from $100-$200 a day. Responsibilities Assemble and fabricate structural components according to specifications and blueprints. Perform welding tasks using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting. Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards during all welding operations. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Collaborate with project managers and other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition for optimal performance. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on the job site. Qualifications Can pass 3G & 4G FCAW - weld test. Proven experience as a Structural Welder with a strong understanding of welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding. Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Experience with plasma cutting and pipe threading is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a team environment on construction sites. Attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
