Job Description

API Heat Transfer is looking for people who enjoy being part of transformation. We have a new mission, new leaders, and are accelerating our path to Lean Cultural Change. We are looking for associates who look forward to coming to work and want to make a positive impact on our production team as a First Shift Welder .

What You Will Do:
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions: Vertical, horizontal, or overhead Read blueprints / drawings and take / read measurements to plan layout and procedures Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Set up components for welding according to specifications Operate angle grinders when necessary to prepare parts to be welded Align parts to be welded using calipers, rulers, measuring tapes, clamps, fixtures…etc. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
What You Bring:
Proficient in GMAW (gas metal arc welding) and GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding) Capable of adjusting machines to different material thickness Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Able to communicate and work/weld with others Ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely
Additional Requirements :
Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a weld test to
