...is looking for the right team members to join as WELDERS-Set-Up/Fitter/Welder Lannon Tank, an industry leader in custom steel storage tanks, is looking for energetic, positive, quality minded Fitter/Welders to join our team. As we continue to grow, we are looking for the right people to help us continue to provide steel tank solutions to our customers' increasing needs. 2nd Shift - Evening shift includes a $ 3.00 per hour shift premium. As a Fitter/Welder here at Lannon Tank you will have the following responsibilities: Perform open table set-ups on various steel tanks and components Perform leak proof and structurally sound welding using various MIG processes Locate, Set, Fit and Weld complete structural steel support saddles to tank bodies. Roll, form, saw, cut, grind as needed Work from engineering drawings to determine correct layout of parts Safe use of overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling Work in accordance with all safety rules and policies Keep work area clean and organized daily Qualifications 5 years minimum welding experience with 2 years minimum fit-up Ability to pass internal welder certification tests Ability to set up welder for various weld joint configurations and steel thicknesses Ability to read a tape measure and perform shop math as needed Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Ability to safely operate an overhead crane and forklift Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing a plus Ability to work as part of a team Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Ability to pass a pre-employment tape measure, shop math, and print test.
