Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team on the 2nd shift, with a $3.00 shift premium. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing MIG welding on tanks and other components, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to technical specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. The successful applicant will contribute to the fabrication and assembly of metal parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties Perform MIG welding on tanks and various metal components according to technical specifications and safety standards. Use measuring instruments to ensure precise dimensions and proper fit of welded parts. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to guide welding procedures and assembly processes. Apply mechanical knowledge and shop math skills to accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Inspect completed welds for quality, consistency, and compliance with specifications. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high standards of quality. Experience Proven experience with MIG welding, preferably on tanks or similar large structures. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, or tape measures. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Basic shop math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. Ability to work effectively on the second shift schedule in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in a fabrication or welding shop is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates eager to develop their skills.
