Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr Employee Communications Manager for a hybrid position (2 days per week, Wednesday required onsite) with a Leading Technology Firm located in Mountain View, CA. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Employee Communications team as a contractor. The Senior Communications Manager for Engineering will be a business partner first and amunicator second. They'll love working with executive leaders, being a strong team player, and getting energized by being a part of a fast-moving, creative, and innovative organization. They'll be passionate about using theirmunications and storytelling skills to amplify our tech stories, engage employees, support organizational change, and drive business oues. They'll also be a fluent and active user of AI, using it as an everyday thought partner to research, synthesize, create, iterate, and work more effectively. They'll bring strongmunications judgment to how and when AI is used and continually experiment with new ways it can improve both the quality and efficiency of their work.

Responsibilities:

Act as a strategicmunications advisor to VP level executives within our engineering team and other key partners, advising onmunications strategy (including content, forums, and timing) to ensure team members are informed, inspired and empowered to help our client succeed

Use AI as an integrated part of themunications workflow, including research, synthesis, strategic planning, audience insights, content development, meeting and document analysis, and rapid iteration, while ing strong judgment, accuracy checks, and responsible AI practices

Build and execute globalmunications strategies for major moments that inform and inspire our global employee base

Lead end-to-end employeemunications for organizational changes, including partnering with HR and leadership to clarify strategy and rationale, and managing timing, sequencing, and delivery across channels

Collaborate with cross-functional partners to buildmunications plans that amplify our talent initiatives and reinforce our culture and values develop, evolve, and maintain various digitalmunications channels

Provide onsite event production support for all hands meetings and other employee events

Support a broad range of internalmunications initiatives and events across the broader Employee Communications team

Requirements:

6 years of experience in Employee Communications

Desired skills:

Experience leading technologymunications, partnering with engineering leaders, including a strong familiarity with what's happening in tech

Excellent writing and storytelling skills with the ability to translateplex technical information into narratives the average team member can understand

Experience supporting organizational change and change managementmunications, including helping team members understand and navigate transitions

Strategic thinker with strong business and technical acumen

Leadership agility and ability to advise and influence senior leaders onmunications approach, messaging and tactics

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Entrepreneurial self-starter and problem solver who isfortable with ambiguity

Advanced, hands-on experience using AI as an everydaymunications tool and thought partner; Able to demonstrate how AI has been used to accelerate research and synthesis, strengthen strategic thinking, develop and iterate content, and improvemunications workflows, while ing strong human judgment and responsible AI practices

Working knowledge of Office 365 and Google Workspace and how to use different applications to engage employees
