Cross Functional Internal Comms Business Partner Autodesk - 4.1 San Francisco, CA Job Details Full-time $88,000 - $157,300 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Writing skills Content writing Full Job Description Job Requisition ID # 26WD98340 Position Overview The Internal Communications Business Partner plays a key role in delivering clear, engaging employee communications that help teams understand Autodesk's strategy and priorities. You will support one or more business units, working closely with Communications Business Partners, Chiefs of Staff, and cross-functional partners to execute high-quality content across enterprise channels. This is an excellent role for someone who is curious, collaborative, and motivated to continuously improve their storytelling skills. You'll have access to a supportive Internal Communications Center of Excellence community, shared templates and playbooks, and AI-enhanced workflows to help elevate your craft. Day-to-day, your work will be roughly 40% execution, 30% strategy, and 30% responding to team needs. Responsibilities Write, edit, and publish employee-facing communications across Slack, email, SharePoint, and Autodesk's intranet Maintain an internal editorial calendar and manage Business Unit-owned communication channels Develop content for newsletters, announcements, leadership messages, and internal events Use generative AI tools responsibly to speed up drafting, explore messaging options, and improve clarity Support Business Unit All Hands and internal events (content, agendas, scripts, logistics) Translate complex business information into clear, accessible, engaging content to drive business goals Surface Business Unit stories that highlight impact, customer value, and progress Partner with Communication Business Partners and Chiefs of Staff to ensure alignment to strategy and priorities Apply communications playbooks, templates, and workflows for consistency and quality Work with cross-functional partners (HR, Legal, Product, etc.) to gather information and approvals Monitor performance using communications dashboards and channel analytics Use insights to refine messaging and improve employee engagement Participate in learning sessions, peer reviews, and shared practice forums Minimum Qualifications Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences Experience creating internal communications across modern channels and platforms Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead multiple projects independently A growth mindset — curiosity, openness to feedback, and willingness to learn new tools Comfort experimenting with AI-assisted workflows (you don't need to be an expert; just open to it) A collaborative, low‑ego approach and enthusiasm for helping make the work — and the team — better 5+ years in internal communications, employee communications, or related fields Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting product, engineering, or operational teams Familiarity with change communications and employee engagement practices Experience with analytics dashboards or measurement tools Prior use of generative AI for drafting, research, or content planning The Ideal Candidate Clear, high-quality communications delivered reliably and on time Strong relationships and trust with business partners, leaders, other communicators, and cross-functional stakeholders Demonstrated improvement in channel engagement and employee understanding Consistent use of communications standards, templates, and AI-enabled workflows Meaningful contributions to shared learning and the evolving practices of the Global Communications organization Learn More About Autodesk Welcome to Autodesk! //benefits.autodesk.com/ Salary transparency Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $88,000 and $157,300. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
