Job Description
Senior Activity & Community Engagement Assistant Part-Time position Tuesdays 6:30am to Noon Wednesdays 8am- 1pm Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Individual to support programming and daily operations at the Brockwayville Depot Senior Center, Brockway, PA while also assisting with the marketing and promotion of Il Villaggio II, Brockway's newest apartment community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with older adults, planning engaging activities, and contributing to meaningful community initiatives while gaining hands-on marketing experience. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities for senior citizens Develop creative, engaging programs tailored to seniors' interests and abilities Support the coordination and execution of community events at the Depot Assist with the marketing and promotion of Il Villaggio II, including outreach and content creation Create and distribute promotional materials such as flyers, social media posts, and community announcements Help serve breakfast and lunch to senior center participants Research, source, and compare pricing for materials and supplies to support facility improvements and small projects Perform general office duties, including entering and coding invoices, copying materials, and designing monthly activity calendars Provide overall support for daily operations at the senior center Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Creative, energetic, and self-motivated Interest in working with senior citizens and community programming Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills
