Job Description
Position Summary Consuelo's Place is seeking a creative, relationship-oriented, and results-driven Development & Community Engagement Manager to strengthen the organization's fundraising, donor engagement, communications, and community partnerships. This position will play a key role in expanding Consuelo's Place's unrestricted revenue and building a sustainable development program. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder who understands nonprofit fundraising and is comfortable representing an organization in the community. Working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, the Development & Community Engagement Manager will develop and implement strategies to increase individual giving, corporate support, community partnerships, sponsorships, and other sources of unrestricted revenue. The position is part of a larger organizational effort to build the fundraising infrastructure necessary to support a long-term goal of securing $1.2 million in unrestricted operating funds. About Consuelo's Place Consuelo's Place is a non-congregate emergency homeless shelter serving vulnerable individuals and families in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our private-unit shelter model is designed for individuals whose circumstances may make traditional congregate shelter environments difficult to navigate. Consuelo's Place provides safe, private shelter alongside wraparound case management and life-stabilizing services. Our work is grounded in trauma-informed and harm-reduction practices and centers dignity, autonomy, safety, and improved outcomes.
