Job Description

The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for coordinating essential marketing, communications and brand awareness for the Centre Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to: Membership Promotions Facebook content creation and scheduling Flyers, posters, images, signage, brochures Blast email content creation Program Guides creation, content collection, design/layout, publish quarterly guide Oversee/maintain bulletin boards Google surveys/forms Gear/merchandise (hoodies, shirts, bags, mugs, etc) Adherence to graphic standards Notifications and publishing of class changes, cancellations, and additions, hours, holidays, closures Website SEO, Wordpress, featured images, job postings, activities, important announcements, calendars, plugins, analytics, popups Adobe suite of products Microsoft swuite of products Google Business Account iContact blast emails Sponsorships PayPal buttons, QR codes, Mail merge, bulk mailings Active calendars, CUI Working with AI Supervision experience a plus. The position will work closely with our Executive Director to assist with essential functions related to the operations of the Centre.
Required Qualifications:
§ Knowledge and experience working with administrative functions. § Experience with computers and software (Office Professional Suite and Quickbooks). § Organized, enthusiastic, self-starter. § Able to work with a diverse group of people, including members and participants of all ages, paid and volunteer staff, colleagues and community representatives. § Understand the needs of people from various backgrounds. § Must be systematic and detail orientated. § Strong communication skills both oral and written. § Ability to work independently with a variety of duties.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$15.00 - $22.00 per hour
