Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Owns end-to-end content creation — planning, shooting, editing, and publishing photo and video content — that represents the Press Coffee brand and drives views, engagement, and foot traffic across social platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube).
- Produces and edits video content for internal use, including new store launches, product/LTO rollouts, training, and company updates.
- Partners with the e-commerce team to coordinate and execute marketing pushes, promotions, and campaign strategy, ensuring content supports broader business goals.
- Designs and edits marketing signage and collateral quickly and accurately, often on short notice, for in-store use and promotions.
- Maintains a content calendar that balances planned campaigns with real-time opportunities, staying current on social media trends, platform changes, and short-form video formats.
- Monitors and manages the brand's online reputation, engaging with followers and customers and responding to comments and messages in the Press Coffee voice.
- Tracks and reports on content and campaign performance, using data and analytics to improve future content.
- Travels between store locations across the Valley and attends company events, store openings, and grand openings — including occasional evenings and weekends — to capture content and support launches.
- Works independently to prioritize, plan, and execute tasks in a timely manner with minimal day-to-day oversight.
- Adheres to all Press Coffee policies and procedures, including brand, health, and safety standards, and maintains regular, consistent attendance.
- Alerts upper management to brand, operational, or reputational issues as they arise, and performs other related duties as assigned, including bi-monthly office and marketing team meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in social media content creation, videography, or photography (in-house, agency, freelance, or a strong self-directed portfolio); multi-location retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to independently handle full production — shooting, editing, and publishing — rather than only executing assets built by others.
- Proficiency with traditional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom, as well as mobile-first, short-form tools such as CapCut and Canva; mobile-shot, mobile-edited content is a core part of this role, not a fallback.
- Strong working knowledge of major social platforms and their best practices for organic content, including current trends in short-form video.
- Comfortable operating camera and video equipment (phone, DSLR/mirrorless, and/or gimbal setups) in a fastpaced retail environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate needs and proactively support store and marketing operations.
- Adaptability and flexibility with scheduling and changing business demands.
- A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license, with the ability to travel regularly between store locations across the Valley.
- A collaborative, self-starter mindset with the ability to take feedback and iterate quickly.
- Comfortable using basic technology and content management/scheduling systems; ability to learn new systems as needed.
COMPETENCIES
- Creative Execution & Brand Storytelling - Produces high-quality, on-brand photo and video content that captures Press Coffee's voice and visual identity; translates brand standards into engaging, scroll-stopping content.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partners effectively with the Marketing Director, e-commerce team, and store teams to align content with broader marketing and business goals.
- Digital & Social Media Fluency - Maintains deep, current knowledge of social platforms, short-form video trends, and algorithm changes; applies data and analytics to continuously improve content performance.
- Adaptability & Initiative - Responds quickly to on-the-ground opportunities and shifting priorities; works independently with minimal oversight and brings new ideas to the team.

- Frequent lifting and carrying of camera and video equipment (up to 25 lbs).
- Exposure to hot equipment, cleaning chemicals, and varying noise levels in retail store settings.
- Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching to capture photo and video content from varied angles.
- Regular use of visual focus to operate camera and editing equipment and use a computer.
- Ability to travel by car between multiple store locations throughout the workday.
