Job Description We are seeking an experienced Content Governance & Knowledge Management Specialist to lead the cleanup, organization, governance, and long-term optimization of enterprise content across multiple platforms. This individual will play a critical role in improving the quality, accessibility, and trustworthiness of content used to support customer responses, business operations, and future AI-driven initiatives. This is a highly visible role requiring a blend of hands-on execution and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will be comfortable organizing complex content environments, establishing governance standards, collaborating with stakeholders across the business, and making recommendations that improve knowledge management practices over time. Key Responsibilities Content Governance & Cleanup Audit, assess, and organize large volumes of existing content across multiple content repositories. Review and validate content accuracy, relevance, ownership, metadata, and tagging structures. Eliminate duplication, archive outdated information, and establish content quality standards. Ensure content can be easily located, trusted, and maintained by business users. Knowledge Management Strategy Develop and implement content governance processes, workflows, and best practices. Create frameworks for ongoing content stewardship and ownership. Identify opportunities to improve content lifecycle management and knowledge-sharing practices. Provide recommendations for future-state content architecture and governance models. Stakeholder Management Partner closely with subject matter experts, business leaders, technology teams, and content owners. Facilitate content reviews and governance initiatives across multiple departments. Drive accountability for content ownership and maintenance. Communicate recommendations and project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Platform & Content Ecosystem Management Support content management platforms and repositories, including systems such as Responsive, Highspot, SharePoint, or similar solutions. Evaluate how content moves across platforms and recommend improvements for centralization and accessibility. Assist with documentation, governance standards, and platform usage recommendations. Work alongside technology and enablement teams to improve overall content operations. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Track governance metrics, content health indicators, and platform usage trends. Utilize reporting and analytics capabilities within content management systems to identify improvement opportunities. Measure the impact of content governance efforts and present findings to stakeholders. Develop recommendations based on data-driven insights. Future AI Readiness Organize and structure content in a manner that supports future AI-enabled search, retrieval, recommendation, and knowledge management capabilities. Identify opportunities to enhance content quality and metadata to improve future AI adoption. Stay informed on emerging trends in knowledge management, content governance, and AI-powered content solutions. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience in Content Management, Knowledge Management, Information Management, Content Governance, or related disciplines. Experience managing large content repositories and governance initiatives. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive projects with minimal supervision. Experience creating governance frameworks, documentation standards, and content lifecycle processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience utilizing reporting and analytics within content management platforms. Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic planning. Experience with Responsive (formerly RFPIO). Experience with Highspot, SharePoint, Confluence, Guru, Seismic, or similar content management and knowledge management platforms. Background supporting proposal, bid, RFP, sales enablement, or customer response content repositories. Experience with AI-enabled content management, enterprise search, or knowledge management initiatives. Familiarity with metadata management, taxonomy development, and content architecture. Experience driving enterprise content standardization programs.
