Job Description

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only VCSU students are eligible to be hired in this position. Unsolicited applications to this posting will NOT be considered or responded to. This position is subjected to North Dakota Veteran's Preference requirements.

Communication Arts Reports to: Dr.
Shannon VanHorn, Department Chair Position Summary :
Do you enjoy working with social media? Are you a good writer? Do you have people skills? We are looking for a self-starter that can assist us with the department social media campaign and conduct day-to-day office duties, which may include: Collecting and delivering mail Making Copies Greeting visitors to the office Creating content for digital display Creating and updating content for social media Reaching out to current majors Reaching out to alumni and other duties as needed
Responsibilities/Expectations :
Performs other duties as required or assigned pertinent to the position. Must be a positive role model on and off the job. Must know and abide by all University rules and regulations. Must maintain a positive attitude toward the position.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
Be a full-time VCSU undergraduate student. Minimum of 10 hours per week Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision. Good interpersonal skills and desire to be a team player. Experience with customer service- common courtesy in working with students, employees, and the public. Good organization and time management skills.
