Performance Creative Specialist — Paid Social Elevation Marketing™ | Remote — Phoenix/Arizona Part-Time | Approximately 25-30 Hours/Week | $20-$25/Hour Long-Term Contract Opportunity | Potential Path to Part-Time W-2 Great creative work shouldn't require a 50-hour agency week. Elevation Marketing is looking for a hands-on Performance Creative Specialist who loves figuring out what makes people stop scrolling—and then actually making the ad. We're a boutique digital marketing agency specializing in home-service and contractor brands across the North America. We're looking for someone to take ownership of the creative side of our paid-media programs , working directly with our paid-media team to keep our clients supplied with fresh, smart creative worth testing. You'll research what's happening across the advertising landscape, develop new concepts and personally create static and short-form video ads designed to generate leads—not just look pretty. This isn't a role where you'll write a creative brief and hand it to a designer. You are the creative. Our paid-media specialists handle campaign builds, targeting, budgets, tracking and optimization. You'll focus on answering a different question: What should we make next? What You'll Do Research competitor advertising, Meta Ad Library, emerging creative formats and paid-social trends Proactively bring new concepts, hooks, angles and visual ideas to the paid-media team Design static ads for Meta and other paid-social placements Create and edit short-form video using client footage, testimonials, B-roll, voiceovers, stock footage and other available assets Turn winning ads into thoughtful new variations rather than simply duplicating them Collaborate with our paid-media specialists to understand what's working—and use that information to decide what to create next Identify photos, videos, testimonials, project footage and other assets that would make our creative stronger Give clients clear, simple direction when we need them to capture additional content Maintain an organized creative pipeline and library across multiple clients Deliver polished, launch-ready creative Occasionally capture social, behind-the-scenes and marketing content for Elevation Marketing itself Who We're Looking For You don't necessarily need a fancy "Creative Strategist" title on your résumé. We're much more interested in whether you have a great eye, understand what makes advertising creative work and can actually make the ideas you come up with. You might be a great fit if you: Have hands-on experience creating digital, social or advertising content Have a portfolio showing work you personally created Can create both polished static graphics and engaging short-form video Understand—or are eager to learn—the difference between content that looks good and creative designed to drive action Naturally notice ads, hooks, trends and formats and think, "We should try something like that" Can take inspiration from great advertising without simply copying it Can write strong hooks, headlines and concise ad copy Are comfortable working in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar platforms Are curious about AI and how it can improve creative research, ideation and production Are organized and comfortable managing creative across multiple brands Communicate clearly, proactively and reliably Don't need someone handing you an exact list of what to make every day Experience with paid social, direct-response advertising, home services or local lead generation is a plus , but we're willing to teach After what you said, I did set it to $23 to $28 an hour. I don't know if that changes anything, but I would like to perk it up just a tiny bit in case there's people that have $25 as their minimum. Yes — I actually like $23-$28/hour better for what we're asking this person to do. It keeps you below the $30 threshold you didn't want to jump to, but $28 gives you room to attract someone whose internal floor is $25-$27. And because this is 25-30 hours/week, it's substantial enough to feel like a real role rather than random freelance work. Given everything we've clarified, I'd also make the listing feel a little less corporate/senior-strategist than our first version. At this pay range, we're looking for a talented hands-on creative with performance instincts and initiative—not someone with 10 years of creative-director experience. Here's the version I'd post: Performance Creative Specialist — Paid Social Elevation Marketing™ | Remote — Arizona Part-Time | 25-30 Hours/Week | $23-$28/Hour Long-Term Contract / Potential Part-Time W-2 Great creative work shouldn't require a 50-hour agency week. We're much more interested in what you can make, how you think and whether you take initiative.
You should:
Have hands-on experience creating digital or social creative and a portfolio that shows work you personally created Be able to create both polished static graphics and compelling short-form video Understand—or be eager to learn—the difference between content that looks good and creative that gets someone to take action Naturally notice ads, hooks, trends and creative formats and think, "We should test something like that." Be comfortable developing an idea rather than waiting for someone to hand you a fully developed concept Have a good eye for layout, typography, pacing and visual hierarchy Be able to write strong hooks, headlines and concise ad copy Be comfortable in Canva and video-editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere or similar Be curious about AI and how it can make research, ideation and creative production better Be organized and comfortable balancing creative for multiple clients Communicate clearly, proactively and reliably Be comfortable occasionally communicating directly with clients when we need creative assets Take feedback well without needing constant direction Experience with paid social, direct-response advertising, local lead generation or home services is a big plus—but not required. This Role Is Probably Not for You If... You're primarily a media buyer who occasionally makes a graphic, or you're a traditional graphic designer who wants someone else to provide the concept, headline, copy and detailed creative brief. We're looking for someone who sees an opportunity and says: "I think we should test this angle. Here's why." And then can actually make it. Location This is a remote role for someone based in Arizona and within reasonable driving distance of the Phoenix area. You'll work remotely day-to-day. We're intentionally hiring locally because we'd like this person to occasionally meet with our team in person to capture social, behind-the-scenes and agency creative content. There may also be occasional company-paid travel for team meetings, conferences or agency events. There is no regular in-office requirement. About Elevation Marketing Elevation Marketing is a boutique digital marketing agency specializing in home-service and contractor brands across the U.S. We're a small, experienced team, which means you won't disappear into a giant creative department. You'll work directly with the people making strategy and media decisions, see how your creative actually performs and have meaningful ownership over what we test next. We care about doing great work, communicating well, being accountable and treating our clients' businesses like they're our own. Why You Might Love Working With Us There are a lot of talented creative people who want meaningful, challenging work without signing up for a traditional 40-50+ hour agency schedule. We get it. This role offers approximately 25-30 consistent hours per week , fully remote day-to-day work, real ownership over paid-media creative, direct visibility into how your work performs, a variety of brands and creative challenges, and flexibility in how you structure your workday as long as you're reliable and have meaningful overlap with U.S. business hours. We don't expect work to take over your nights and weekends. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to become an important part of our team , not simply knock out random freelance projects. Compensation & Employment $23-$28/hour , depending on experience, portfolio and demonstrated capabilities. Approximately 25-30 hours per week . The role will begin as an independent contractor relationship so we can make sure it's a strong mutual fit. We're looking for a long-term team member , not a short-term project freelancer. For the right mutual fit, we're open to discussing a transition to a permanent part-time W-2 position. We're also open to a long-term independent contractor arrangement where appropriate.

We're less interested in the brand than how you think.
