Marketing and Branding Specialist ZBK Books Arlington, TX Job Details Full-time From $60,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications E-commerce Facebook Marketing analytics Instagram Analytics Full Job Description ZBK International is a rapidly growing used-book and e-commerce company processing and selling millions of books through major online marketplaces, direct-to-consumer channels, wholesale partnerships, and international distribution. As we continue to scale, we're looking for an experienced and highly creative Brand Manager to take ownership of the ZBK brand and help build it into one of the most recognizable names in the used-book industry. This is not a role focused solely on maintaining brand guidelines. We are looking for someone who can build a brand, create demand, grow an audience, and turn marketing initiatives into measurable business results. The Role The Brand Manager will own the development, execution, and growth of ZBK's brand across digital and physical channels. You will be responsible for defining how ZBK looks, sounds, and communicates while developing marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, customer engagement, traffic, and ultimately sales. You'll work closely with company leadership, e-commerce, operations, and outside creative partners to develop campaigns and tell the ZBK story. We want someone who is equally comfortable developing a high-level brand strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute. Key Responsibilities Own and develop ZBK's overall brand identity, positioning, voice, and messaging. Build and execute an annual and quarterly marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives. Develop creative marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness, traffic, engagement, and customer acquisition. Own ZBK's social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Develop a consistent content strategy and content calendar. Create and manage campaigns around books, reading, sustainability, affordability, book discovery, and the ZBK story. Identify opportunities to turn ZBK's inventory, warehouse operations, employees, customers, and book-sourcing process into compelling content. Manage email and SMS marketing strategies, including customer segmentation, retention campaigns, promotions, and automated flows. Work with the e-commerce team to improve website merchandising, promotions, landing pages, and conversion. Develop strategies to grow ZBK's direct-to-consumer customer base. Manage influencer, creator, affiliate, and partnership opportunities. Identify opportunities for PR, media coverage, community partnerships, and brand collaborations. Help develop customer loyalty, referral, and retention programs. Manage paid advertising campaigns internally or in partnership with agencies. Oversee photographers, videographers, graphic designers, agencies, freelancers, and other creative resources. Maintain consistency across website, packaging, social media, advertising, email, signage, and other customer touchpoints. Monitor competitors and identify trends and opportunities within books, e-commerce, recommerce, and consumer retail. Establish clear KPIs and reporting around marketing performance. Continuously test new channels, campaigns, creative concepts, and customer acquisition strategies. What We're Looking For We are looking for a creative operator who understands growth.
The ideal candidate has:
5+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, e-commerce, consumer products, retail, or a related field. Proven experience building or significantly growing a consumer-facing brand. Strong understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce. Excellent understanding of social media and modern content strategy. Experience managing paid social and digital advertising. Experience with email and SMS marketing. Strong creative instincts and the ability to recognize content that will resonate with consumers. Experience managing creative teams, agencies, influencers, or outside partners. Strong analytical skills and comfort making decisions based on marketing performance data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously. A willingness to execute—not simply manage. Strong understanding of how brand, content, customer acquisition, and e-commerce work together. Experience within books, publishing, e-commerce, retail, subscription businesses, marketplaces, or recommerce is a major advantage.
