Job Description
Overview Habitat for Humanity of Fannin & Gilmer Counties is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and mission-driven Volunteer & Marketing Specialist to help connect volunteers, donors, families, and community partners with our work. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, telling impactful stories, and supporting a nonprofit mission that creates affordable housing opportunities for local families. If you're passionate about community engagement, marketing, volunteer coordination, and making a real difference, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Oversee daily office operations, providing administrative support to the Executive Director as needed Serve as the primary contact for individual and group volunteers. Coordinate volunteer schedules for construction sites, the ReStore, and special events. Assist with volunteer recruitment and retention efforts. Maintain volunteer records and databases. Prepare volunteer activity and compliance reports. Share volunteer success stories through marketing communications. Manage and schedule social media content. Create engaging posts highlighting volunteers, homeowners, donors, and project progress. Maintain and update the organization's website. Draft weekly communications and announcements. Coordinate production of the quarterly newsletter. Assist with annual reports, impact stories, and fundraising communications. Experience Proven experience in administrative support role, volunteer coordination, nonprofit operations, marketing or related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft 365 and social media marketing tools, and familiarity with spreadsheets for data management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
